I’ve cheated on this one. They’re in a vase, and it’s Monday, but these beautiful cala lilies, heather fronds, hypericum berries, and sea hollies did not grow in my garden (nor indeed in any garden anywhere near Scotland, I shouldn’t think). But I wanted to show you these beautiful flowers because this was my wedding bouquet, which I was carrying on Saturday when I got married to the wonderful Brazilian.
So I hope you let me off cheating this week, and apologies for my absence over the past couple of months as I’ve been so busy organising our marriage. It turns out that even a simple wedding takes an extraordinary amount of time and energy to put together. I haven’t had a chance to share with you my November end of month view, or our trip to Drummond Castle, my tree following (you haven’t missed much; my tree is currently a soggy brown stick) or my new project at the back of the house. But I will be back after Christmas with lots of blog posts and plans and gardening updates from Edinburgh. Meanwhile, I wish you all a very merry Christmas full of joy, love, rest, and gardening!
In a vase on Monday is hosted by the magical Cathy at Rambling in the Garden.
